I can recommmend this this CD 100%, and that my friends is from a musician. I must say that this CD is a great showcase for what is really out there in the world of guitar picking in the Nashville style( for the most telecastering). Don't hestitate it's all good.
Must have for guitar enthusiasts. Very intricate, instrumental guitar music. Awsome collection of modern chicken picking guitar music. Not for the casual guitar lover.
I keep it in my car and listen to it all the time. Well produced. This was just an incredible value. Top Nashville session guitarists on a single CD. Lots of styles to listen to.
Each track is by a different artist and it has no bad tracks. I am really not that familar with any of the artists playing here but that didn't stop me from being really impressed with what I heard when I first listened to it. I recommend it highly. I bought this CD on a whim. I wish I had whims like that more often. The CD is quality is very good and each track jumps right out there.
It is directed at and a MUST BUY for those country music devotees and/or guitar nuts who love virtuouso electric guitar playing. The type of playing is not of the wailing wah wah and fuzz box variety.
Still a very enjoyable collection with some super guitar playing. clean picking (generally) with more than a passing nod to the blue grass roots of country music.
It is (fast.). Also there are notable absentees (to be expected) so that for example there is no contribution by Brent Mason or Dan Huff.
This is an instrumental album showcasing the talents of some of the Nashville session guitarists circa 2000. The quality of guitar playing is extemely high.
If there is a criticism of the collection it is that the pallete of musical ideas is somewhat limited.
